How time flies. Barbara says that I still act like I am two. I say that I am young at heart and who wants to act like an old fogey anyway??
Tonight I am going to get a special treat with dinner and a new toy that I don't have to share with Niamh! Here are some photos that Barbara took today.
</i>

<i>And here is one on the day that she took me home from my breeders. Barbara said that she wanted a mushy boy and she got exactly that. I still like to give hugs and kisses.</i>

<i>She is going to take me for a walk now (we are leaving Niamh at home - haha!) at a place where I will get to see cows.</i>Niamhhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18120962328191864014noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1806927928637952132.post-54761469136812282292013-12-21T08:42:00.002-05:002013-12-21T08:44:51.918-05:00Christmas ShoppingSometimes after I have helped Barbara in her dog training work she takes me over to my favorite pet supply store, Phydeaux, and lets me pick out a toy or a treat. That is my "paycheck". This week Ambrose and I helped her work with a beautiful German Shepherd who gets over excited when she sees other dogs. We acted as the decoy dogs and Penny did very well with us. Afterwards we went to Phydeaux and I thought that we would get our paychecks. Here I am sniffing the wonderful scents in the food aisle.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqNfR2k2bx0yJE2UnXT5s1nCI3IaTHFeBpU3k0Tiy25v53WlXXTgd9sXhNlEsYZV9Qx2LF-WPLwAAhiXwcYlhBkY7D01kUYoxVy2_63bSZhMccA-rLttf1VBFwBJDZYJIJ5gTo8vnm7Ug/s1600/IMG_0842.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqNfR2k2bx0yJE2UnXT5s1nCI3IaTHFeBpU3k0Tiy25v53WlXXTgd9sXhNlEsYZV9Qx2LF-WPLwAAhiXwcYlhBkY7D01kUYoxVy2_63bSZhMccA-rLttf1VBFwBJDZYJIJ5gTo8vnm7Ug/s400/IMG_0842.jpg" /></a></div>
Then I got to go see the wall of toys. I sniffed the toys very carefully.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghLFXqWbExcdfwAq6bavxVYFtOlfslVYPr_eDNuCKGsHa3Pk3c5AdYF8fzGvvsmZ-ws6SkDU18lhg54E7Lp-vBWsxLEtMLoAeKWRcGQcOs789ski6AoWISQ2mqrD_DE84nPxOXkDHlpvQ/s1600/IMG_0845.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghLFXqWbExcdfwAq6bavxVYFtOlfslVYPr_eDNuCKGsHa3Pk3c5AdYF8fzGvvsmZ-ws6SkDU18lhg54E7Lp-vBWsxLEtMLoAeKWRcGQcOs789ski6AoWISQ2mqrD_DE84nPxOXkDHlpvQ/s400/IMG_0845.jpg" /></a></div>
Imagine my dismay when I learned that the shopping trip was for Christmas presents for my dog cousins!
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtZkV1G-WUS3Ek1kKXq8iFGbyg6a79EQer1N7g-UnfiK4ELVHgc9w9GVN4da3y3KqIF3R-0YUudUSOhoLa0TIaF86wqiPzk3PLL2RxuEkE6miFOYYxrf6TuK2pgFgpRUm_ETkuP92716M/s1600/IMG_0848.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtZkV1G-WUS3Ek1kKXq8iFGbyg6a79EQer1N7g-UnfiK4ELVHgc9w9GVN4da3y3KqIF3R-0YUudUSOhoLa0TIaF86wqiPzk3PLL2RxuEkE6miFOYYxrf6TuK2pgFgpRUm_ETkuP92716M/s400/IMG_0848.jpg" /></a></div>
Now of course I want my dog cousins to get presents but what about me?
And what was Ambrose doing all this time? Disgracing me and Gordon Setters everywhere, that's what. The next sequence of photos are very blurry but you can see what the awful boy did. Ambrose lost his mind! He tried to cram himself in a shelf full of treats and managed to knock them all on the floor. Barbara had to stop taking photographs so she could control him and put the treats back.

Who knows if we will ever be allowed in Phydeaux again?Niamhhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18120962328191864014noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1806927928637952132.post-79891117000722334312013-12-06T22:18:00.002-05:002013-12-06T22:18:37.198-05:00More Letters After My NameI do like to go to Rally Trials. This evening we went to one at the Durham Kennel Club which is only 45 minutes from my house. Barbara thought that we should try to get the third leg of our Rally Novice title so we entered. I can lie down calmly in my crate and watch all the other dogs.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYM7zs_iNPK4YhqHQDhHCMsNvzPw03gyprOoHRGSzWgNyqQQb8MnIAZEAJ3ccN9D5XcybWNUZXK2AEUXc5LtWd-VrLIY9EoETTW1o5WwXK1iJXGJ5tiztz07Fc2UryR9UPBnGhY8_1RSQ/s1600/IMG_0809.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYM7zs_iNPK4YhqHQDhHCMsNvzPw03gyprOoHRGSzWgNyqQQb8MnIAZEAJ3ccN9D5XcybWNUZXK2AEUXc5LtWd-VrLIY9EoETTW1o5WwXK1iJXGJ5tiztz07Fc2UryR9UPBnGhY8_1RSQ/s400/IMG_0809.jpg" /></a></div>
Usually there are not many setters at Rally events but I met this very handsome Irish Setter. He finished his Rally Advanced Excellent title (RAE)tonight.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVr5zBEX5EQFmwsADFrB_1vkMwKth9oMHR7ujE8vDTQgzMV0zy9AJqRU7WeD8WQcHfcPmlBSBV4bs1aK2FjrQMlUGiDIsmtkMjwkYZ8nLUDDSDV3zTLHvrLfwK2ztQ7PJ7mqdDs2GNaGI/s1600/IMG_0798.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVr5zBEX5EQFmwsADFrB_1vkMwKth9oMHR7ujE8vDTQgzMV0zy9AJqRU7WeD8WQcHfcPmlBSBV4bs1aK2FjrQMlUGiDIsmtkMjwkYZ8nLUDDSDV3zTLHvrLfwK2ztQ7PJ7mqdDs2GNaGI/s400/IMG_0798.jpg" /></a></div>
I was very excited to meet this young Gordon Setter boy, Jackson. Quite lively in the ring but he got distracted with good smells in the ring (don't we all) so did not qualify tonight. He is only 1 1/2 years old so I was quite impressed. I can tell you that Barbara would not have had the nerve to take me in the ring when I was that age.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzj5LuVegnNLRqnoEaxwY7I9LxOlai_PcmMRTj5QM4oT2jqOfxOzBWCBgD9E64LX_XPCDpVbEnQRI9DIUCBcB8fbrm0B1H4reWxVJDbMhjzmDSraGDBuXP7l6dZ_0ZxXlrnz4CR9ax7HY/s1600/IMG_0805.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzj5LuVegnNLRqnoEaxwY7I9LxOlai_PcmMRTj5QM4oT2jqOfxOzBWCBgD9E64LX_XPCDpVbEnQRI9DIUCBcB8fbrm0B1H4reWxVJDbMhjzmDSraGDBuXP7l6dZ_0ZxXlrnz4CR9ax7HY/s400/IMG_0805.jpg" /></a></div>
There were many different breeds of dogs at the trial. This Wire Fox Terrier was in his crate next to me. I was his first event and he did very well. There were some Airedales too but Barbara did not get any photos of them.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhEja04LVALVUILYu7I4p4QUB08tC8d7UcEFLRBnM8m2uQs0pZ2cNXTayJ-dTNz7zdTF1z-kyjTU6IugRLpsmtVtPmWUcm4i8gdjhjIeWqdspubqtIkEB0mXAwjDUaOoP7tOOqTBRHCo2g/s1600/IMG_0813.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhEja04LVALVUILYu7I4p4QUB08tC8d7UcEFLRBnM8m2uQs0pZ2cNXTayJ-dTNz7zdTF1z-kyjTU6IugRLpsmtVtPmWUcm4i8gdjhjIeWqdspubqtIkEB0mXAwjDUaOoP7tOOqTBRHCo2g/s400/IMG_0813.jpg" /></a></div>
Behind us was an Old English Sheepdog who kept poking his head out of his crate to see what was going on. I am sure it is hard for him to see with all that hair
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXo60M9qajURUkhHDMg8bI96lj3pjnKk08zqHp850dMubRN5Uviv3uFJ9qGFlQK8cSZbUe8QKDDhcQG3Ch7jN2bxbVQ6-xbRZxPoafoP4lGoB_2mM6IXWBKAY0PViJ95Y5B7p2ICMVr-w/s1600/IMG_0819.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXo60M9qajURUkhHDMg8bI96lj3pjnKk08zqHp850dMubRN5Uviv3uFJ9qGFlQK8cSZbUe8QKDDhcQG3Ch7jN2bxbVQ6-xbRZxPoafoP4lGoB_2mM6IXWBKAY0PViJ95Y5B7p2ICMVr-w/s400/IMG_0819.jpg" /></a></div>
When my turn came to go in the ring, I was pretty excited. I tried to concentrate on what Barbara wanted me to do but a few times I sniffed and pulled so we lost points for that and a crooked sit. Not our best score but certainly enough to qualify and get my third leg. The green ribbon is for the qualifying and the blue rosette is for my new title!
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRZ7fwKZ3N0YOjZ5V1abq_xGbv1sL1XpGHMLBE3SCfauEhKk6K7xKEdMD7ZgvKFtmeZbR9RyjUrwkeHZiQiq-3khIzdEoD6aWQr1SA0NEhiUmtxrJeJ5HZWCdVrmwU0XZjIF3rPiuoDV0/s1600/IMG_0824.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRZ7fwKZ3N0YOjZ5V1abq_xGbv1sL1XpGHMLBE3SCfauEhKk6K7xKEdMD7ZgvKFtmeZbR9RyjUrwkeHZiQiq-3khIzdEoD6aWQr1SA0NEhiUmtxrJeJ5HZWCdVrmwU0XZjIF3rPiuoDV0/s400/IMG_0824.jpg" /></a></div>
I can now put RN after my name. It stands for Rally Novice (not registered nurse but I am sure I could do that). Barbara was very happy with me and gave me a huge chunk of mozzarella cheese as a reward. I deserved it.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-dg3LSrcMLH-TAmAW98-JYjFRCpOVtkD_9I6Okr1nQ5MFwlCB63ieH-DiVja3y3-h4kgk5rY3y4Nc6HXdmCJWVy4KYwc2ZlXexQw9e0Q35GcL8QDDuutUH_8XIjviczzDhJSFjBWXzYI/s1600/IMG_0826.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-dg3LSrcMLH-TAmAW98-JYjFRCpOVtkD_9I6Okr1nQ5MFwlCB63ieH-DiVja3y3-h4kgk5rY3y4Nc6HXdmCJWVy4KYwc2ZlXexQw9e0Q35GcL8QDDuutUH_8XIjviczzDhJSFjBWXzYI/s400/IMG_0826.jpg" /></a></div>
Now onto the Advanced classes!

You will not believe what she is training now. A couple of weeks ago she came home with a most intriguing odor on her clothes and hands. We had no idea what it was - think pork chops. Barbara is helping to clicker train a pig!!!
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgg8ul3ZGer3qEH5Fzo7iVy3A8XXk80h_pUIK2lnRjGJMkCYFfEoUdpyvFD59jHmqXbzX7HPMgAinx_cJppacXcTnrdi984Km86etYd9HyzzO_NovjENb8dyuOOUdmNMk0b3aTcaKWOSkQ/s1600/IMG_0708.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgg8ul3ZGer3qEH5Fzo7iVy3A8XXk80h_pUIK2lnRjGJMkCYFfEoUdpyvFD59jHmqXbzX7HPMgAinx_cJppacXcTnrdi984Km86etYd9HyzzO_NovjENb8dyuOOUdmNMk0b3aTcaKWOSkQ/s400/IMG_0708.jpg" /></a></div>
I ask you, isn't it enough that she spends her time with lots of other dogs? Now she is helping a friend train Lennon, a 1 year old pot bellied pig who was surrendered to the shelter. Lennon is very social and he is already house trained and can do a piggy version of the sit.

Barbara is clicker training him to know his name, come when called and to do targeting to a stick (all things I do very well). He is even going to wear a harness and learn to walk on a leash!!!

Pigs are supposed to be very smart. Some people think that pigs are smarter than dogs which I think is a lie. But then again Lennon is probably smarter than Ambrose!Niamhhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18120962328191864014noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1806927928637952132.post-52703650438740452262013-11-16T18:46:00.000-05:002013-11-16T18:46:17.974-05:00Ambrose's Hair<i>Niamh, the blog hog, has been dominating the posts since we got back to blogging. This is not fair. And of course I have been sadly neglected while Barbara goes off to freestyle competitions with Niamh. My hair had grown very long and I had a series of bad hair days. Some people even asked Barbara if I was part Afghan Hound!!! Now nothing against Afghan Hounds but I am a Gordon Setter through and through.</i>

<i>It is hard to keep one's hair well groomed when other dogs are chewing on it though. My St.Bernard girlfriend, Bella, likes nothing better than to chew on my ears (well I chew on hers too). I like it but it mats up my ears and Barbara has to cut the mats out.</i>

<i>On Friday, Barbara gave me a big grooming and then took me next door to Max's Dog Wash for a bath. I really don't know why Niamh makes such a fuss about being groomed and thinks that it is torture. She is such a princess. I quite like getting fussed over. I am not fond of the blow dryer but I do like the feeling of being brushed. Of course I get lots of cookies when I am up on the grooming table or in the bath.</i>

Because she is on the conference staff she was gone for 8 days. We wthent to K9 Kindercare as usual. We like it there and they always take good care of us. The ladies there call Ambrose "Brosie" if you can believe that! He is always kissing them. They don't realize how many cooties he gives them.
Here is a photo of Barbara working with a chicken (and you thought this was a dog training conference).
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiziui2GqZ9xwIPRUlRedkEqQ2oUiJL2TGV68RaCXYXe90tSYRKJY7j315L9ymuz04l3eQCQvpFTN7goG_QEKpaCbp0d8CFPLdHYpgsudS2oXKSqdJwL3tIOzTuaIa2_Cy7cZ5KL0TA_EA/s1600/chicken.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiziui2GqZ9xwIPRUlRedkEqQ2oUiJL2TGV68RaCXYXe90tSYRKJY7j315L9ymuz04l3eQCQvpFTN7goG_QEKpaCbp0d8CFPLdHYpgsudS2oXKSqdJwL3tIOzTuaIa2_Cy7cZ5KL0TA_EA/s400/chicken.jpg" /></a></div>
Evidently training chickens makes you a better dog trainer because it it improves your mechanics and timing. I would like to eat a chicken more than train it.
She brought home lots of treats and toys from the trade show at the conference. We always like that part. I will have to do an entire post about that.
We just about got back into our normal routine when Barbara left town again. This time she took me with her (Ambrose went back to K9 Kindercare) as we were entered in two days of Canine Freestyle Federation competition. We got to stay in a motel, which I love.
I had a bit of trouble with my routine on Saturday - not our fault. We were all warmed up and ready to go and the steward waved us into the ring. I was very focused but when we went to start the judges waved us out again! The silly steward sent us in by mistake!!! I got overexcited with all the confusion and when we were finally let in I wasn't as focused as I should have been so we didn't score all that well.
Sunday was much better. I performed the routine very well and we got second place. You can see the medal around my neck in these photos. We won a gift card and I got some nice toys.

I do enjoy showing off in freestyle and getting applause. Everyone said how pretty I looked. Barbara says that I am the best traveling companion.

Twenty years ago (long before I was around) Barbara started Paw In Hand Dog Training. She gives private lessons, teach classes and works with dogs with behavior issues. To celebrate she had a client appreciation day where she gave free lessons to past students. It was fun for her to see many of her old students.
She had refreshments for the people.

All the dogs who came got a choice of a stuffed toy and a dog sausage -either chicken or beef.

All the dogs had a good time.
In other news, Barbara and I did a demo at the Carrboro Kids Dog Show. The Carrboro Commons had a nice article about the event and Barbara is quoted at the end of it. I am mentioned but there is no picture of me performing! I don't know why because the journalist certainly took enough photos of me. You can read the article <a href="http://http://blogs.web.jomc.unc.edu/carrborocommons/?p=7679">here</a>.

Yesterday afternoon we drove to the Winston-Salem Dog Training Club as we were entered in Rally Novice B. I really haven't had much chance to do Rally since last December so I was very excited. Lots of nice people and dogs. I was the only Gordon Setter at the trial and many people admired me. I guess all that dog grooming torture was worth it.
We did very well in our run and I took 4th place in my class. Barbara was very pleased and I got an entire sausage when we came out of the ring!

The white ribbon is for 4th place, the green one is for qualifying. I now have another leg toward my title and the little star stuffie is my prize.

You know me - I like to hang out with the boys! Here is a picture of me with my long time boyfriend Trotter. So handsome don't you think?
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhp78WZr6Epahu1-jlfC4Bfj0pt5kQfwTRvLUe04a7TCf0rmbJ-47CgbIdFFg2kINeFphTB9wITxDF_C4KFoAuacm98Yje1jNETbGGlyW7ke6wrspPVr1BVUQaV5fjVcYYdn1Q9qGIUCAI/s1600/IMG_0518.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhp78WZr6Epahu1-jlfC4Bfj0pt5kQfwTRvLUe04a7TCf0rmbJ-47CgbIdFFg2kINeFphTB9wITxDF_C4KFoAuacm98Yje1jNETbGGlyW7ke6wrspPVr1BVUQaV5fjVcYYdn1Q9qGIUCAI/s640/IMG_0518.jpg" /></a></div>
Ambrose has his girlfriend Scout. They have known each other since they were little puppies. She is quite the tomboy and that is Ambrose's type. No frou-frou girls for him. He likes girls who run and play hard. Scout is really, really fast.

Here is a photo of me with my boyfriend Amos at Day School. He has been coming every Tuesday and Thursday for almost 2 years. We are doing down stays in this picture but mostly we like to run and play bitty face games. Unfortunately Amos is moving! His person got a new job and Amos is of course going with her. I will miss him so much.

Think of me tomorrow when I am having extreme dog grooming torture. I have a couple of demos coming up and Barbara says that I have to look my best.Niamhhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18120962328191864014noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1806927928637952132.post-65210368353004057302013-09-13T17:04:00.000-04:002013-09-13T17:04:51.103-04:00It has been a year!It has been 1 year since we posted in our blog! Unbelievable! I have no words to describe how slack
Barbara has been. She is our special person but I can tell you that we are annoyed with her that she hasn't been posting about all our activities or helping us check in with our friends. Ambrose and I hope that you are all well and we will check in with you this weekend.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWaO9UsEXSs6SawF1pyZ65Rwo3w2GwBSEjYXNriNKqa3zpAkQ9cDpNvCKG9rjQdhdYt8LrGGVZExC9erElyruofVpBV6_RpOKV-CWLDdpwl5ROxJUpr5zsoMRQhpYjLpsCUSSDgaegGTA/s1600/GetAttachment-3.aspx.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWaO9UsEXSs6SawF1pyZ65Rwo3w2GwBSEjYXNriNKqa3zpAkQ9cDpNvCKG9rjQdhdYt8LrGGVZExC9erElyruofVpBV6_RpOKV-CWLDdpwl5ROxJUpr5zsoMRQhpYjLpsCUSSDgaegGTA/s400/GetAttachment-3.aspx.jpeg" /></a></div>
Barbara has a new computer and is in the process of transferring stuff from the old one to this one so who knows where all our photos have gone to. The one above is an old one from Christmas!
Here is a more recent one of me.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigCPMmQxMJahhAlcqfgmZIOLI4Fdhy4NvQHj_giPMYSWuJQdtIjeVYqotj47CfGe3PjCPvXtaCimyyGycefBJWZHazgYbW-rka-MbqhBNks3y6a3g3B7bGQkAimYRUf_5n_O2rYjEorPk/s1600/IMG_0250.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigCPMmQxMJahhAlcqfgmZIOLI4Fdhy4NvQHj_giPMYSWuJQdtIjeVYqotj47CfGe3PjCPvXtaCimyyGycefBJWZHazgYbW-rka-MbqhBNks3y6a3g3B7bGQkAimYRUf_5n_O2rYjEorPk/s400/IMG_0250.jpg" /></a></div>
And for those of you who wonder what Ambrose is up to, here is one of him with his St. Bernard girlfriend, Bella. All they do is chew on each other's ears.

Barbara has gotten some new creatures - fish. She set up a tank in our training studio this summer. I don't know why since she doesn't seem to be training them.

I didn't mind having them there until I found out what she is feeding them - sun dried baby shrimp. Do you believe that? <i>We</i> have never gotten shrimp, sun dried or otherwise in our whole lives and she is giving it to these untrained fish! Shocking!
Fish aside, I am glad we are back in the blogosphere and we will keep you up to date with our activities. See you soon.

So you can imagine my shock when I found out that Barbara has one of these dreaded mango products and she uses it regularly.

Burt's Bees Mango and Orange Body Butter! How did they make this? Did they melt the Mango? Did bees sting him?
I cannot conceive how Barbara, who loves dogs, would use this product and rub it on her hands and arms.

I took a sniff of it myself and I was quite taken aback. I did not expect the Mango to smell sweet, and dare I say, girly??

Ambrose had no such scruples. He actually licked the Mango off Barbara's hand. Did he think that it was the same kind of butter that you put on bread? He is so disgusting.

I hope Mango is ok and has not suffered any ill affects from being made into hand cream.

On Friday, Barbara bathed me and used many evil implements on me. Even with lots of treats it is an awful experience. Barbara said that I had to get beautiful because on Saturday we were going to perform at the Dog Olympics at the NC State College of Veterinary Medicine. We performed there last year and got lots of applause. I was very excited because we have been practicing a new routine to demo there.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIkzC0_3qkwg55cb6nTLgOyUL6kqJPupD8gRE9v7u9cDuhC0RZ9mXEg3Z6L4of1Un3VNgdODGxf7D9qihIn1OsghQyVyS5LFkv7bjyfB6jCjjo0SJN_eJ0v4yiC4UJBr7GrmMnljLk5Kg/s1600/bath.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left:1em; margin-right:1em"><img border="0" height="271" width="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIkzC0_3qkwg55cb6nTLgOyUL6kqJPupD8gRE9v7u9cDuhC0RZ9mXEg3Z6L4of1Un3VNgdODGxf7D9qihIn1OsghQyVyS5LFkv7bjyfB6jCjjo0SJN_eJ0v4yiC4UJBr7GrmMnljLk5Kg/s400/bath.jpg" /></a></div>
Well the bath was wasted!!! This morning we were all ready to go and the dog-crate-on-wheels had a flat tire! Major bummer. By the time it was repaired, it was too late. So now I am all groomed up with no where to go.
In other news, last month Barbara went to NY and NJ to visit family. Ambrose and I were happy to go to K9 Kindercare because we would not want to fly in a plane. She got to hang out with our cousin Coby who is a very nice Cockapoo.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYdoIqusSQFIij3Kpy4-APsvDZxr5EgyM-D8wG5OyPI-2o5PX9fb6rWDh3G7V9H0KpdhT7hNrKmSc2L7SrMbomUwKqvYSwer4VXwNyQgGiBPldQRTJG6hSVVzqFrjj0KpgZkZN6-uX2nU/s1600/j5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left:1em; margin-right:1em"><img border="0" height="400" width="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYdoIqusSQFIij3Kpy4-APsvDZxr5EgyM-D8wG5OyPI-2o5PX9fb6rWDh3G7V9H0KpdhT7hNrKmSc2L7SrMbomUwKqvYSwer4VXwNyQgGiBPldQRTJG6hSVVzqFrjj0KpgZkZN6-uX2nU/s400/j5.jpg" /></a></div>
He likes to play with toys and sometimes he rips them. Our Grandma always performs surgery on his toys when she visits. At least he leaves them in pieces big enough to sew back together. Ambrose's idea of playing with toys is to shred them in tiny pieces.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDW-zF_fHpqt47NN_0Oopmo8gRmMFOkQNEe3arW92v6UpnQMjfekj6EKvZ8stq8iVewGstM4e3Ymj8-egaHJZvY-L6chTFJK9voPIkWGhiT8Tp6GnG0mrl_yLhcMsttqbBfAZRtIwYR-g/s1600/mom.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left:1em; margin-right:1em"><img border="0" height="300" width="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDW-zF_fHpqt47NN_0Oopmo8gRmMFOkQNEe3arW92v6UpnQMjfekj6EKvZ8stq8iVewGstM4e3Ymj8-egaHJZvY-L6chTFJK9voPIkWGhiT8Tp6GnG0mrl_yLhcMsttqbBfAZRtIwYR-g/s400/mom.jpg" /></a></div>
The big news is that Coby has a new sister so we have a new cousin. She is a Cockapoo too and is called Nellie. She looks very sweet and we are glad to welcome her to the family. Coby loves her.

Today Ambrose and I acted acted as guinea pigs at a K9 Kindness training session.
K9 Kindness supports reward based training and encourages the use of training equipment such as front clip harnesses. They will have a booth at the Dog Olympics at the NC State Vet School on September 8 and will be doing the <a href="http://k9kindness.org/projects">"No Choke Challenge".</a> If a person turns in their dog's choke chain, prong collar or shock collar, the K9 Kindness trainers will give them a FREE front clip harness from Walk Your Dog with Love, a treat bag, treats, a bandana and a training session to teach their dog to walk nicely on leash!!! Good deal.
Anyway the trainers wanted to practice fitting these harnesses (it is important that front clip harnesses fit correctly to work effectively) so Jenn Merritt offered a special class at our training center.

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUFa0BDjtkCoVsrq8ORgzktX-kL8479H9Tj-Bf7VKYz3EdPGECLGTZdExcNSVtUV2Nk7_GG4ROrq8MVWbJ-Q5pVuoti5BGKJu14OgyRDBsX_tDj6jb21Xyiy-4kx9rI0K6t9q19wMsfu4/s1600/k1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left:1em; margin-right:1em"><img border="0" height="300" width="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUFa0BDjtkCoVsrq8ORgzktX-kL8479H9Tj-Bf7VKYz3EdPGECLGTZdExcNSVtUV2Nk7_GG4ROrq8MVWbJ-Q5pVuoti5BGKJu14OgyRDBsX_tDj6jb21Xyiy-4kx9rI0K6t9q19wMsfu4/s400/k1.jpg" /></a></div>
She brought stuffed dogs for the trainers to practice on. You can bet that Ambrose barked at the big stuffed lab. I did not. You can see that the way the harness fits on this little stuffed dog.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiM9ReF1oOxSnMyZVJwanQkTY1e8DosAtU4QROMfeOhI9myoNoQMnaMCO9YTpUAGjlVQBsOyqTnKyRM7u0mQWVqZebRPE8hSD8k5QYQxNK3RjNe8R4eDfZs2sDv7cIPzZvmN4PK4Wm1GF8/s1600/k2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left:1em; margin-right:1em"><img border="0" height="300" width="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiM9ReF1oOxSnMyZVJwanQkTY1e8DosAtU4QROMfeOhI9myoNoQMnaMCO9YTpUAGjlVQBsOyqTnKyRM7u0mQWVqZebRPE8hSD8k5QYQxNK3RjNe8R4eDfZs2sDv7cIPzZvmN4PK4Wm1GF8/s400/k2.jpg" /></a></div>
Then it was our turn. I sat very nicely while people fitted me and gave me treats.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

It is a bit hard to see the harness since it is black and so am I. They left the card on it but the harness is quite comfortable and I walked very nicely in it.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Ambrose was very wiggly when the tried to fit him but then I expected that. But he walked in it very nicely and was quite pleased with himself.

We were very happy to participate in this training as we know it will help lots of dogs. Plus all the trainers made a fuss over us and gave us lots of pets and treats.
There are lots of dogs who could benefit from a front clip harness and we hope to spread the word about them and the joys of reward based training.

It is very spacious and there is room for our mats and our toys and to not bump into one another.
Sometimes when the other pups are playing bitey face I take some of the toys and take them into a crate. Here I have taken a stuffed raccoon along with both Beatrice's and Greta's Kongs into Greta's crate to guard them.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGqnu3Z_yS0DBvu04zBacdfmAowVqxTarNCQzJmq_7UZXnasebxWmU43EFm-tcuOf-2sp6p7lheMxyClLAOXiAAvXhxcI7TLc4bsUXgg-XQhkJdd87iQTxyKhxgErp5oFfoM2tWKAOF6c/s1600/c1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left:1em; margin-right:1em"><img border="0" height="300" width="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGqnu3Z_yS0DBvu04zBacdfmAowVqxTarNCQzJmq_7UZXnasebxWmU43EFm-tcuOf-2sp6p7lheMxyClLAOXiAAvXhxcI7TLc4bsUXgg-XQhkJdd87iQTxyKhxgErp5oFfoM2tWKAOF6c/s400/c1.jpg" /></a></div>
But today the unthinkable happened. Barbara made me share a crate with Ambrose!!!
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxdtV7q8V1rcHaH2ipqflVcHz3wjrWtZS5Hz8CVWzBwO8CYGitGbGKws-OEkULLz7HozbCox34BB-8qsASMorgqKlvTce9dVrQtaY3zmW78yoAntY9u_6XHMhBKf9vlPFPOtvSsjN_xgU/s1600/c2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left:1em; margin-right:1em"><img border="0" height="300" width="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxdtV7q8V1rcHaH2ipqflVcHz3wjrWtZS5Hz8CVWzBwO8CYGitGbGKws-OEkULLz7HozbCox34BB-8qsASMorgqKlvTce9dVrQtaY3zmW78yoAntY9u_6XHMhBKf9vlPFPOtvSsjN_xgU/s400/c2.jpg" /></a></div>
I can't tell you how horrified I was. Ambrose is full of cooties and there was no escaping them when I was stuffed into a crate with him. Ugh! I will never get them off. And just look at him hogging all the space. I barely have room to sit there. Do I look happy?

We staffed a table for <a href="http://www.k9kindness.org">K9 Kindness </a>which is an organization of instructors in the Triangle area of NC promoting reward based dog training.

Barbara and Gloria had lots of free literature to give away about puppy socialization and the importance of puppy classes, training methods, dog body language and other important topics and to encourage people to use humane training equipment. I got to model my front clip harness. When I got tired I got to stretch out on my mat.

Ambrose and I have always been trained with reward-based methods and we wouldn't want it any other way. I got to show off my tricks and of course got petted by lots of nice folks.
I want to give a shout out to my boyfriend Trotter. He was entered in a Rally Novice trial today and got 1st Place with a score of 98 our of 100! I am so proud of him. He has been trained with reward methods too.

Yes, I can now put the letters CGC after my name. Now I know you think I should have had those letters long ago and I have to agree with you. Many of my friends have those letter and I was a bit embarrassed that I didn't. But since Barbara is always evaluating CGC tests, she can't test me. So tonight she had a friend who is a CGC evaluator come to Paw In Hand to give a test to her students. She decided that we would take the test. Of course I passed everything!
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I thought it was easy peasy. The AKC says you have to do 10 skills to pass and get the letters after your name and a certificate. Here is what I had to do:
1. Sit politely to meet a friendly stranger.
2. Sit for petting.
3. Appearance and grooming.
4. Loose leash walk.
5. Walk through a crowd
6. Sit, down, stay.
7. Come
8. Reaction to another dog.
9 Reaction to distractions.
10.Supervised separation.
I am so pleased that I passed and can say I am a Canine Good Citizen.Niamhhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18120962328191864014noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1806927928637952132.post-70286172073251471012012-06-17T08:18:00.001-04:002012-06-17T08:21:54.327-04:00Happy Father's Day!<i>Happy Father's Day to you all. Ambrose here. I wanted to give a shout out to my Dad, Loghan. His fancy name is now Grand Champion Seasac's Rumor Has It RN JH! He was already a Champion but last weekend he got the points to add Grand to that. He is a handsome guy and you can tell where I got my good looks!</i>

I am taking back the blog now Ambrose. We have been very busy, working hard at Day School. Twice a week dogs come to Paw in Hand and Barbara trains them and then I get to help them learn appropriate play skills and manners. I have many boyfriends who come to see me.
This is Riley, a Goldendoodle. I am letting him play with my squeaky sheep.

This pretty girl is Greta, a 15 week old German Shepherd Dog. Barbara thinks she is quite smart and is training her and I am teaching her respect.

We were playing very nicely and then Greta decided to put her paws on my shoulders! That is just not done and I let her know it. She got the message and has been very respectful ever since. Ambrose is not allowed to play with her. Barbara is afraid he will sit on her. I am afraid he will lift his leg on her. He did that once on a little girl Australian Shepherd puppy and I have never recovered from the mortification!

Tug is a favorite game at Day School. Barbara always supervises it carefully so no one gets out of control. Amos and Ryder are enjoying themselves.

We like Day School and everyone goes home tired.
In other news it is Barbara's birthday today. She is 399 in dog years. Very decrepit but we will keep her.Niamhhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18120962328191864014noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1806927928637952132.post-51197146108618647582012-05-27T20:44:00.002-04:002012-05-27T20:44:34.285-04:00I am Seven!I am 7 today! So why do I have a picture of cows on my blog on my birthday? I do like cows because they smell so nice. These are extra special cows as they are the ice cream making cows of Maple View Farms.

Barbara brought me to <a href="http://www.mapleviewfarm.com/">Maple View Farms</a> to celebrate. We left Ambrose at home - HAHA! I got a cup of ice cream. People were surprised to see a dog on the porch eating ice cream but I didn't care. All I could think of was the ice cream.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

When I was finished I saw a woman eating ice cream out of a big waffle cone. I think that next year I will hold out for a waffle cone.
On the way home we stopped at Teddy's house. He is one of my Drill Team buddies. His person has goats, chickens and a miniature horse. The horse, named Daisy, was being abused so Teddy's person adopted her and treats her really well and has gotten her nice and healthy. She is wearing this harness to get used to it so that she can learn to pull a little cart.

Daisy is good with dogs so I got to get pretty close to her. She smelled wonderful.

Then I got to go in the yard with the goats. I love goats. Maggie is the white goat in the front and she is very protective of the other goats. I was pretty excited and she did not want to let me get too close to them. It was ok though because I could still smell them.

Besides getting to spend time with Barbara (without Ambrose and his cooties)and staying in a motel I am learning lots of new things and meeting new freestyle friends.
I learned how to switch from left to right heel by going behind Barbara and coming up into heel. I know how to do it in front of her but had not done it this way before

I've also learned some distance work and done lots of practice on walking backwards.
There are over 50 dogs here and many are from North Carolina. This morning we got all the NC dogs and people together for a group photo. You can't see me very well in the back row because Barbara is wearing black pants and I sort of blend in! But this is a great group and I am enjoying training with them.

Doing all these classes is a lot of work though and between exercises I rest on my mat next to Barbara's chair and watch the other dogs work. I have been very well behaved and I don't mind when another dog walks by right in front of me.

One of the great things about Canine Freestyle is that any dog can do it. It doesn't matter if you are big or little, it is just a matter of learning moves and then having a willing human partner who will choreograph your routines. While we dogs have been learning the technical moves the people are learning to be creative. I am not sure if Barbara can learn this but I try to help her by doing new things all the time.
I have made many new friends at the retreat. There are lots of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels here.

Then we dropped Ambrose off at K9 Kindercare (yay!!) and I got to go on a road trip with Barbara. Look at all the stuff crammed in the car! She says that more of it is for me than for her.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGlVirKWtZx04qSnRJvxz_nVIIEOoe97oANXDtuAZPtS8dvYwxxM7yYWCqa-1VslzTfJAVmk1OtQNdDM2sCkQGL-ROjMDzhQwyB06N8kfz7bKi5ivHTi8TDZSAZkEHn0cgcxLpSIxmmaQ/s1600/m2.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGlVirKWtZx04qSnRJvxz_nVIIEOoe97oANXDtuAZPtS8dvYwxxM7yYWCqa-1VslzTfJAVmk1OtQNdDM2sCkQGL-ROjMDzhQwyB06N8kfz7bKi5ivHTi8TDZSAZkEHn0cgcxLpSIxmmaQ/s400/m2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5732907200436340882" /></a><br /><br />We picked up my drill team buddy Teddy and his person and they crammed even more stuff in. Poor Teddy had to ride in Ambrose's crate. I was afraid he would get some of Ambrose's cooties but he didn't seem to mind.<br /><br />We had an eight hour drive, which was pretty boring, but now we are at the Canine Freestyle Federation Retreat. This means that I have been getting only minimal brushing and no trimming. Yay!<br /><br />However I am starting to rethink this. This past Saturday our Drill Team performed at the NC State College of Veterinary Medicine's Open House. Thousands of people come to this event to tour the vet school. Our drill team always draws big crowds when we perform. We got lots of applause.<br /><br />It was a bit rainy which made the extra long hair on my head get all curly.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYCMhV6r1g3XAvdEVbHBNbdH4CLVjbS8bfd60DxdJNjP-YLDotxbgxKH_zvNYOGUxCDPgIJKdJJf7XIrzYg7I0eeFOab_WEEbUzXRCuao1VALU3ai12TkW6mpR7ykFvViX5OS4bFIx1p8/s1600/n1.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 257px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYCMhV6r1g3XAvdEVbHBNbdH4CLVjbS8bfd60DxdJNjP-YLDotxbgxKH_zvNYOGUxCDPgIJKdJJf7XIrzYg7I0eeFOab_WEEbUzXRCuao1VALU3ai12TkW6mpR7ykFvViX5OS4bFIx1p8/s400/n1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5728227454727401506" /></a><br /><br />At least five people came up to me and asked Barbara if I was a Labradoodle! Can you imagine? Now I like Labradoodles very much and have several doodle friends but I am a Gordon Setter. So I guess it is time for some extreme dog grooming torture so I get back to looking the way I should.Niamhhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18120962328191864014noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1806927928637952132.post-43086575085072174022012-03-26T12:44:00.003-04:002012-03-26T13:05:28.377-04:00Barbara's Finger<span style="font-style:italic;">Why is Barbara's hand all swollen and her ring finger bandaged? We were visiting our pals Trotter and Scout and had some good play time. Barbara put me in the dog crate on wheels and went back for Niamh. She leashed Niamh and had the leash in her right hand. She put her hand on the gate and opened it. Niamh is supposed to wait but she didn't. She dashed out through the gate like a bad girl. Unfortunately Barbara's hand was still on the gate and her fingers got twisted in the chain link. She let out a huge scream (although, amazingly, no HBO words were said). Her hand and fingers got all swollen even though she put lots of ice on it. I tried to help by licking her fingers but she said it hurt too much. When she went to the doctor he took x-rays and said that her ring finger is broken above the first joint and she will have to wear this splint and see an orthopedist.</span><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgV8z64TRnEygn7p-GeCSQbqpdf9tpqhqIaMp1yT3m6vilRw1H6F0vnvvvBnwmw2R1hSCt2HFA0hJZgAp3alDuW8gkYx62IA4xMpzrrEU_XdKNgGiGm4EXJ3F2s2_1762UtvKsqEC4ZbCg/s1600/h2.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 387px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgV8z64TRnEygn7p-GeCSQbqpdf9tpqhqIaMp1yT3m6vilRw1H6F0vnvvvBnwmw2R1hSCt2HFA0hJZgAp3alDuW8gkYx62IA4xMpzrrEU_XdKNgGiGm4EXJ3F2s2_1762UtvKsqEC4ZbCg/s400/h2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5724248034644134818" /></a><br /><br />I am really sorry about Barbara's finger. I know it hurts her and it is awkward to have to wear that splint. I didn't mean to do it and now Barbara is having me do remedial work to sit and wait nicely when we go through doors and gates.Niamhhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18120962328191864014noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1806927928637952132.post-88924755307372276892012-03-23T14:58:00.002-04:002012-03-23T15:05:38.864-04:00National Puppy DayToday is National Puppy Day! We were all puppies once. In honor of the day I am posting a few pics of when Ambrose and I were puppies.<br /><br />Here I am at about 10 months of age. I was quite gangly then.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuT18BZu424sX9_ZLRvc_HtWI4-ugR92gjugmgwFcNN_ZaRYNWtvdowINXji6XKgBY7V3O7ueQr3ssnMxBmcdJ5tYH54bZNn8_ndaGnFrHT0PkHc2GX4WcbWp-UsIs1jveb9lUubTaia4/s1600/pd1.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 273px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuT18BZu424sX9_ZLRvc_HtWI4-ugR92gjugmgwFcNN_ZaRYNWtvdowINXji6XKgBY7V3O7ueQr3ssnMxBmcdJ5tYH54bZNn8_ndaGnFrHT0PkHc2GX4WcbWp-UsIs1jveb9lUubTaia4/s400/pd1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5723169487882097874" /></a><br /><br />Ambrose at 12 weeks. He looks fussed about something. Who knows what it could be? I certainly don't.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh446anJ89KGr1iK3K_pskzmEvC6i9qVp9bIf-TLasE32mw0tRpQ0YrfRbDfwbtJGCsjXarWLAc3k-haJIYyLxYgDnZ8Nor_qhDe_F44rsma0oO_K9YPa9MZ3p-I5hgwLkYxUYHz1-NFUY/s1600/pd2.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh446anJ89KGr1iK3K_pskzmEvC6i9qVp9bIf-TLasE32mw0tRpQ0YrfRbDfwbtJGCsjXarWLAc3k-haJIYyLxYgDnZ8Nor_qhDe_F44rsma0oO_K9YPa9MZ3p-I5hgwLkYxUYHz1-NFUY/s400/pd2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5723169501850579698" /></a><br /><br />And here is one of me playing so nicely with Ambrose when he was a puppy and I was about 3 1/2 years old. My name, Niamh, means "sheen or luster" in Gaelic. We are celebrating the day by wearing our reversible shamrock bandanas that our grandma gave us.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiX9dNrhDXy8QV4k3s1kFp3bJ14zPs8JLq0UkpiujDYrG3qkV22-ilSW7cyzAr6JegBo8Dfi8SY8cIwlOakZRs3GxdVlHW2x59KSP7Zn1bvEo-HtIltxT2HWBfzG8fCYLusDyLXcLYdaZw/s1600/band.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 345px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiX9dNrhDXy8QV4k3s1kFp3bJ14zPs8JLq0UkpiujDYrG3qkV22-ilSW7cyzAr6JegBo8Dfi8SY8cIwlOakZRs3GxdVlHW2x59KSP7Zn1bvEo-HtIltxT2HWBfzG8fCYLusDyLXcLYdaZw/s400/band.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5720900013307127650" /></a><br /><br />Hope you have a great day but watch out for that green beer!Niamhhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18120962328191864014noreply@blogger.com6
