Disappointing Weekend

I had a very disappointing weekend.

I was all set to march with the Paws 4Ever Dog Drill Team in the Hillsborough Holiday Parade. Our Drill Team dogs has been practicing really hard so that we could show off our skills. It is always a fun time. The crowd loves us and we get lots of applause when we do our tricks. Unfortunately it rained all day yesterday so we could not march. I am so bummed out.

Here is a picture of our team at last year's parade. I hope the sun will shine next Saturday for the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Parade so we can march then.

This morning it was cold but sunny so Barbara took us to the dog park for a good run. It is always good to play chase and bitey face on a cold morning. Usually when we play chase, I am in the lead and Ambrose tries to keep up with me. He has been getting faster and faster lately and today I was horrified to find that he ran ahead of me and I had to chase him to keep up! This was quite a shock and I am glad that there is no video of this distressing development.

I think I know why he is faster than I am. It is because he gets more food than I do. How can I run fast when I am weak from starvation? I must convince Barbara to feed me more!

Oh yes, more food, please. You cannot let your dorky brother out run you.

Hi, Niamh!
Sure you were disappointing! I hope next weekend you can do it!
Yes, you need to have a serious talk with Barbara about that starving situation!
Good luck!

Hi, food is very important. Maybe Mommy will give you more food now because you don't want your brother to get ahead of you.

I'm sorry to hear that you didn't get to do your parade this year. It's been raining a lot over here too. Tagpi and I are getting a bit antsy since we haven't been able to play fetch in the basketball court since my birthday. I'm sure Ambrose's sudden burst of speed was just a fluke, but you should still ask Barbara to increase your food intake to make sure it never happens again.

Oh you definitely need more food to keep us with the little guy.. They grow way to fast and try to take over.. Pest's all of them..

Niamh,
I was so disappointed too! Here we both were in our crates in our cars wanting to be in the parade, and it's raining! I admit that it would have been miserably wet and cold to have marched, and I sure hope this Saturday's weather is better for the Chapel Hill/Carrboro Holiday parade!

See you soon, and hope you get some food between now and Saturday. You need your strength to be in the parade.

Oh, Niamh. This is the season of weather disappointments for sure. We're lucky to have sun 2 days in a row. My play areas are muddy messes! Sorry to hear about the drill team rain out.

As for Ambrose, have you tried some food stealing to limit his portions? Show 'em who's Boss Lady!

Fenway

Sorry you didn't get to march! Ambrose can probably go faster than you cos he is younger, but you are tonnes smarter.
