New Dog Crate on Wheels

I haven't blogged in the last 10 days because my person has been very busy studying, test driving and talking about getting a new dog crate on wheels. We have an old sedan which is a very dull car and not convenient for taking me places. I have to sit in the back seat and wear a seat belt (which I cannot stand) otherwise I try to drive the car myself.

After much boring discussion about reliability, engines and mileage we finally have our new dog crate on wheels - a Honda Element. It even looks like a dog crate, all silver and boxy.

Here I am checking out the back and smelling the new car smell. The back seats fold up to the sides, the way they are now, or come out entirely. There is plenty of room for my crate and all the things I need for tracking, rally and freestyle. Barbara says there is even room for more crates so if we get another dog ( I hope soon) there will be room for him to go with us too.

The inside is lined with rubber. Even if I drool it won't matter!

I am so glad that she got this for me but I really don't understand why it took so long. I have only two questions. What fun places can we go to in this car? And how fast can we get there?

Wow, Niamh! Your new dog crate on wheels is awesome! It looks as if the people who designed it were really concerned about what a dog needs when off on a grand adventure. My crate on wheels is quite pathetic and is as old as my mom, which is, as I understand, near prehistoric in crate on wheels terms. My mom always straps my harness in to the seat belt, which I don't like either, because then I can't stick my nose out the window like I want to. She should look into getting something like your crate someday. I hope that this new and large crate means that you might have another addition to your family sometime.

We've been missing you Niamh! Your new crate on wheels is totally awesome! When I ride in the car with with #1, I have the whole back seat, with a special hammock that keeps me from getting the leather all dirty, but it becomes an issue when we have more than one passenger. So, your new crate arrangement is much better!

So will you be getting a friend soon?

Your Pal,
TOM

Niamh! That looks just like my mastiff mobile!!!!

Mom says to take the back seats out completely. After all, its your car. That way you can see out the windows. You will love your new crate on wheels. I go in the side door so I don't have to even jump up to get in or anything.
