This is what I saw when I looked out my front door this morning!
Snow all over and falling from the sky. I was a bit surprised but very excited. I've been so jealous of my blogging friends who have snow and now I have some too.
I've hardly ever seen snow. Barbara says that we have been lucky the last few years and have only had a few flurries since I was a puppy. I do not consider it lucky but a complete failure on the part of the weather to provide me with all this great white stuff to play in. Here is a picture of my dog-crate-on-wheels. You can see the snow is still falling.
We went up to the field near my house to explore. Everything smells so different when it is covered in snow.
The snow sticks to my fur and gives me a frosted look.
I am just amazed with how wonderful it is. The only thing I don't like about snow is that it gets between my toes and forms little balls on my fur. Barbara had to help me pick them off when we came inside. But other than that I think it is great.
Now I realize that this may seem like a paltry amount of snow compared to what my friends in Boston and Chicago have experienced. I also understand how frustrating it is not to be able to go on long walks and get exercise. But I think this is great stuff and the best part is it is still snowing.

Enjoy it! It's super fun and it holds TONS of peemail messages. My favorite thing to do is find the deepest snow possible and leap through it until I'm too tired to walk home. That's the BEST. Then I get to take the daddy taxi home. You should give it a try!
Ho wonderful that you got to experience snow, Niamh! Enjoy every minute!

Hi Niamh!
I'm glad you are having fun in the snow! Maybe the weather man finally listened to me and sent it to all my pals that like it instead of here to my house!

Any snow is wonderful. We sure wish we got that stuff here in Texas..

Hi Niamh,
We had snow at our house too! What fun! I ran through the snow with my nose buried catching whiffs of all those really good smells.
I also got balls of ice between my toes, which is to be expected with my hobbit feet!
Your BFF, Ayla
If we would have known you liked snow we would have shared some of ours with you. Enjoy the snow while you have it.

Oh, I bet you are glad to have the dog crate on wheels in the snow. It can go in all kinds of weather.
Yes, snowballs between the toes can be quite annoying, but its worth it, huh?

Wow we wonder what Madison would do in the snow? One day we may make a trip to our snowy ex-home, Chicago, just for her!
Hi, Niahm!
It looks too cold for me but sure is nice that you got all that snow!
Enjoy it!
Kisses and hugs

Niamh,
Ziggy and my cat brother Tommy both get snow balls too! Ziggy gets them between his toes so my mom tries to keep his foot furs trimmed up in the winter. Tommy just gets them on his fur when the snow is deep enough. I have nice short fur so I don't get fur-snowballs at all!

Isn't snow just the BEST, Niamh! Enjoy every minute of it!
Love ya lots

You're so lucky! I hear so many stories about snow, but I've yet to experience it. I hope one day I get to.
We're glad you are enjoying your snow. We think it looks cold and wet, and are glad we don't have any. It's just sprinkling a little bit today and we don't want to leave the house.
Wow! I want snow I want snow I want snow! How does I get some? it is just cold rain and wind here!

You look so lovely in the snow, Niamh. It contrasts well with your shiny, dark beauty. We really admired your topline in the last photo.
My owner is also VERY vigilant when I run with other dogs. She's also afraid that I will pick up bad habits, so all my friends have to be screened first. So, I commiserate, but your mom is right about letting dogs wander around at will.

Fenway
